Graduation Time
Now is the time when most students are graduating from high school or college. Make sure you honor their dedication and hard work and wish them the very best as they start living a successful life.
Happy Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day was the brainchild of Anna Jarvis as a day to honor her own mother, Ann Jarvis. In 1908, Anna began a campaign to have Mother’s Day designated as a national holiday. In 1914, Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating Mother’s Day, held on the second Sunday in May, as a national holiday to honor mothers.[9]
Don’t forget to honor your mother this Sunday, May 14.
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo (pronounced: [ˈsiŋko ðe ˈmaʝo]; Spanish for “Fifth of May”) is a celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army‘s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.[1][2]
